Project Overview
AutoNation Mobility, a venture by AutoNation, one of America's most highly-regarded automotive retailer, is focused on reshaping the traditional automotive market with its innovative business model. This service, known as Micro Lease, diverges from the conventional paths of car ownership or leasing, and instead offers a vehicle subscription service. This model aligns with the growing consumer preference for flexibility and convenience in car usage.
The innovation and complexity of the customer facing side of the business was paralleled with a need for a completely customized platform to be developed to the operations teams to fully support the AN mobility and it's customers.
In my role as Senior Product Manager with AN Mobility, I led the product development for AutoNation Mobility Internal Tools and Support platforms from conception and requirements development through production launch. This platform managed the customer care team portal, order and subscription management, fleet management, and dealership associate operations,
My Responsibilities
- Oversaw the development and integration of systems for Fleet Management, Customer Management, and Dealership Support Tools, ensuring alignment with overall product strategy.
- Coordinated collaboration between offshore development teams and internal engineering resources, enhancing cross-functional alignment and efficiency in AN Mobility Product Development.
- Managed User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles with Operations and Engineering teams, driving continuous product improvement and issue resolution.
- Implemented Agile/Scrum-Kanban methodologies, facilitating a seamless transition of offshore teams to agile practices and improving project management efficiency.
Results
I successfully led the product development for AutoNation Mobility Internal Tools and Support platforms from conception and requirements development through production launch which allows our operations to fully manage the life cycle of a Micro-lease from the moment of choosing a vehicle to returning the vehicle.
Developed a comprehensive platform that managing the customer journey on the operations side, contracts, availability, customer verification, credit check, fraud protection, dealership interactions, customer care support, invoicing, returns, and renewals.
